INTERVIEW SKILLS WORKSHOP FOR ADULTS
NEWTOWN, CT — Newtown Youth and Family Services (NYFS) proudly announces an interview skills workshop for adults to be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at 6:00 pm.
“In February NYFS held a high school Interview Skills for Youth workshop which was a huge success,” says Sheila Russo, HR Manager of NYFS, and the workshop trainer, “the kids provided great feedback. They learned about resumes and were thankful for attending the workshop before interviewing for summer jobs. The successful workshop coupled with the recent financial crises and resulting lay offs made me think that a workshop for adults would be as equally well-received.”
The workshop will be held at NYFS, 17 Church Hill Road. Topics covered will include: making great first impressions, polishing resumes, cover letters, and enhancing professionalism. Participants will be able to capture a prospective employer's attention by showing skills, qualities and achievements in a professional manner.
NYFS combines clinical services and positive youth development programs to provide a continuum of care to residents of the greater Newtown area.
NYFS has expanded ability to serve area communities by creating and implementing a variety of unprecedented services. By providing outpatient individual, couple and family counseling and substance abuse treatment services. In addition NYFS offers prevention initiatives, after school, evening and weekend programs and support groups to promote individual and community wellness.
