NYFS provides outpatient internship opportunities for students in their second year of a master’s degree program in social work or related field, (PC, MSW, MFT).
The primary function of the Clinical Intern position is to provide face to face therapy to individuals (children and adults), couples and families who come to the agency with mental health and family-related concerns under the supervision of a Licensed Clinician. Interns will carry a selected range of cases with a primary emphasis on youth/adolescents.
Interns will follow all professional and agency standards, policies and procedures, demonstrate confidentially, exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to counseling and therapeutic services.
Hours vary bases on school requirements and agency needs.
