The Newtown Bee, Friday, May 20, 2022

Newtown, CT - NewSylum Brewing Co has partnered with Newtown Youth & Family Services (NYFS) to celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month.

Throughout this month, all profits from any purchase of the local brewery's Beautiful Consequences DIPA will go to NYFS.

Dave Kingsley, builder and founding partner of NewSylum, spearheaded the fundraiser to benefit NYFS and the mental health services the Sandy Hook-based agency provides to the Newtown community.

NYFS Executive Director, Candice Bohr said she and NYFS "are honored by Dave's outreach to help support our programs and hope the month of May brings many sunny days for opportunities to pour 'Beautiful Consequences.'''

According to NewSylum's website, Beautiful Consequences uses different hops in every batch, "always trying to create a different Beautiful Consequence!" The current batch of the Double India Pale Ale, in its fifth release, "features a generous amount of Mosaic hops," also according to the brewery's website.

NewSylum is at 36 Keating Farms Avenue, within the Fairfield Hills campus.

NYFS is at 15 Berkshire Road. For more information about its services and special events, call 203-270-4335 or visit newtownyouthandfamiyservices.org.
