Homework Club Coordinator - RIS
Homework Club is seeking an engaged facilitator to assist students after school at the Reed Intermediate School with academic support. Students will bring homework provided by their teacher. The coordinator would provide support and guidance to students during the afterschool setting.
Responsibilities:
- Positive attitude
- Strong organizational skills
- Interest in promoting academic achievement
- Providing a safe environment
- Assist with student’s homework assignments
- Consult with staff within school as needed
- Tutor within appropriate school subject
- Oversee HWC tutors
- Monitor attendance, distribute agency surveys for data collection and collect timesheets
Requirements:
- Newtown Youth and Family Services Application along with background checks
- Preference to Newtown School District Faculty
- Master Degree
- Must be available for the entire school year and have transportation to get to and from Reed Intermediate School on Mondays and Thursdays 3:30 - 4:30 pm
Stipend paid for the Fall semester and Spring Semester
