Girl Scout Silver Award Project

                                                                    Meet Elin!

I have been working on my Girl Scout Silver Award Project. This project is where you find a community issue, identify the cause and create a sustainable solution. The goal of my Girl Scout Silver Award Project is to make art accessible for children in need. Therefore, I chose to make art kits for youth who don’t have access to art supplies and children with mental health challenges. Just because children cannot afford art supplies doesn’t mean they shouldn’t have an opportunity to use them. Art can be very therapeutic and help kids cope with their feelings. Based on my own experience with art, I have found that it has helped me cope with my feelings and develop a creative side of my brain. I want all kids to be able to have that experience no matter their situation.
